Automating Sitecore

LEAPWORK is a very good fit for Sitecore because:

  • Sitecore is pure web automation, both in the administrative and published parts.
  • Sitecore is a platform built to be customized, so automation of regression tests is highly valuable.
  • The ease of using LEAPWORK allows both developers, testers, web masters and Product owners to participate in building the right automation for your Sitecore solution.

In the video a small test case for logging into Sitecore and verify the existence of the Home (root) item is explained in details. Further a more complex test case including creation of a content item, publishing of the item in the Experience Editor and finally verification on the public web site is shown.

You can download the 2 cases from the video here: sitecore-examples. To import them into LEAPWORK, use the “In-Out – Import” function at the top of the project list in LEAPWORK Studio.
