Who is TTI
TTI, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company, is a global specialty distributor serving electronics manufacturers worldwide. With over 9,300 employees, 180+ locations, and more than 3.5 million square feet of warehouse space, TTI's operations are vast, complex, and deeply reliant on software.
From point-of-sale to fulfillment, TTI’s applications form the operational backbone of the business, driving every transaction, shipment, and customer experience. Ensuring the quality and resilience of these systems is mission-critical, and that responsibility falls squarely on the shoulders of TTI’s Quality Assurance (QA) team.
The challenge: Meeting the demands of agile at scale
Based in the U.S. and with teams in India, Patrick Barber, QA Manager at TTI, was tasked with modernizing testing across evolving platforms. These included Citrix, custom warehouse systems, and sales applications. With faster release cycles and more complex updates, the old ways of testing, which were manual, repetitive, and slow, just couldn’t keep up.
Patrick needed a solution that could:
- Align with agile sprints
- Expand test coverage at speed
- Reduce the burden of manual and redundant test scripting
- Support testers of all skill levels
Solution: Driving efficiency and consistency through standardized testing
After evaluating several platforms, TTI chose Leapwork for its intuitive, no-code automation capabilities and powerful support for complex, data-driven testing. With Leapwork’s visual, composable test design, TTI’s QA engineers, regardless of coding expertise, quickly began building and scaling automation across business-critical applications.
From January 2023-April 2025, the results were immediate and measurable:
- Regression testing time dropped from 1–2 weeks to just 1–2 days
- 17,536 hours freed up through automation
- 9.1 full-time equivalents (FTEs) reallocated to higher-value work
- $949,344 in operational savings
- A staggering 6,272% ROI on Leapwork automation
Leapwork didn’t just speed up testing, it helped TTI standardize it. Using Leapwork’s reusable test flows and dynamic regression features, the team eliminated the inefficiencies of script maintenance and redundant test creation. Updates are now automatically applied across test suites, freeing up the team to focus on innovation rather than upkeep.

"Leapwork helped us modernize QA at scale, saving thousands of hours, boosting efficiency, and turning testing into a strategic advantage for the business."
The Impact: Advancing best practices and QA Governance
Patrick and his team have used Leapwork to elevate the role of QA from task execution to strategic enablement. With Leapwork, they are able to standardize testing practices and promote consistent flow logic through the use of reusable, modular test components. The team now incorporates automation development directly into sprint planning, allocating time to build reusable subflows that drive long-term efficiency.
For example, the WCS warehouse testing team allocates time for automation reuse based on story point estimates, ensuring test coverage scales with development. Testers are now accountable for efficiency, actively optimizing and executing automated tests within sprint cycles, accelerating feedback loops, and ensuring coverage of business-critical features.
Integration with Jenkins and the flexibility to run automation in parallel ensured tight alignment with TTI’s agile engineering practices. What once took weeks is now done in days, without sacrificing quality or coverage.
With Leapwork, TTI turned quality assurance into a competitive advantage. The team now works smarter, tests faster, and delivers more with less effort, saving nearly $1 million in operational costs and unlocking thousands of hours of productivity.

"Leapwork has completely transformed the way we approach quality assurance at TTI. We've gone from slow, manual testing cycles to a modern, efficient automation strategy that scales with our business. We’ve saved over 17,000 hours, exponentially improved test coverage, reallocated 9 FTEs, and unlocked nearly $1 million in operational value. Leapwork hasn’t just improved our testing, it’s made QA a strategic driver of speed, consistency, and quality across the company."
